Saturday 16 July - Practical Physio for your Horse with Nicky Moore

Following on from the excellent session where Nicky concentrated on people, she has kindly agreed to give a practical demonstration on horses with easy exercises that we can use with our own animals.

The session she gave for us on humans was excellent so this demo will be another to give us great insight and practical advice on how we can help our horses.

Nicky is a Chartered Human and Veterinary Physiotherapist affiliated to the Association of Chartered physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (Category A, which is the highest level), a Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and the Health and Care Professionals Council.

2016 - Emergency First Aid Course

Our First Aid course will still take place this year but due to other event pressures, it will be later on, not March as first hoped.  Our events will still have qualified First Aiders on hand and our committee will all be attending the course when it happens.  Details and booking information will follow

Physio for Riders - Talk and Demo by Nicky Moore

This was an excellent event - Nicky got us all practising some easy exercises to do that will help us as riders improve our positions and develop awareness of how we affect our horses.  She completed quick postural assessments on a couple of volunteers before looking in more depth at Nick and Sally, who were winners of the free raffle to have a physio assessment on the night.  Our planned practical session including horses will follow on from this.  However you don’t need to have attended the rider talk to benefit from the horse practical.  Great thanks to Nicky for such a fun and interesting session.
